I am having engineering degree in Electronics and with 20+ years of experience in IT industry. I am a part time blogger and this is my first blog site “Electronics for Beginners” designed for all those who are interested in technology but are either students or from different background with very less knowledge of electronics and technology. I have tried to present the information here from basic science theories taught in school and slowly will take to higher level where everyone is able to understand technology around us.

I had interest in electronics since I was in 5 or 6th class student as I use to see my father repairing radios and cassette tape recorders as hobby. He uses to explain some small things while he does the repair and I sit and watch. I learnt basic electronics from him and slowly I was able to understand components and circuits which were published in magazine “Electronics for You” or “EFY” as under section “Circuit Idea” and “Construction”. That time it costs us around INR-3 or 5 (around 80’s) now its somewhere around INR- 80 or 100 in 2020. I assembled my first circuit when I was in class 7th or 8th. It was assembled on cardboard as we didn’t have enough money to buy PCB and rest components where already available at home. The first circuit I assembled was of “Singing Bird Bell” which used oscillator around two small audio transformers, transistor, some resistors and capacitors. I drew the circuit on cardboard, made holes with compass pointer, inserted components as we do in PCB and connected them through wire below the cardboard. So, that was my first independently assembled circuit without any ones help.

In very later years after my graduation, in Nov-2009 my first designed article was published under “Construction” section named as “AT89C52 Based Robocar”. This was based on 8-bit microcontroller “AT89C52”. This was out of curiosity to make a robotic project, once this was completed, I submitted to “EFY” team, they validated the design, checked functionality and then published in Nov-2009 edition.

Further as I am interested to learn new things always, when I heard of   IoT IoT (Internet of Things), I started exploring this new technology. Spent lot of time on it and finally designed one project which was based on IoT platform “myDevices Cayenne” and was again published in “EFY” magazine in Jan-2019 under section “Do-It-Yourself” named as “Home Automation System Using a Wi-Fi Module”.

So, it was a proud moment for me that the magazine which my father and me use to read long back and learnt lot of things from it, in the same magazine my two articles where published.

Later I decided to learn how I can have my own website which can communicate with my own designed IoT device. For this I enrolled for course an online IoT course in Udemy, learnt thru other video tutorials and finally had my own IoT test site hosted on a free web hosting platform.  I have designed a 6-Channel switch board based on ESP-8266 module which can communicate with my website and can be controlled remotely from anywhere in world over internet. We will discuss on this in detail later.

Though in between I have designed one “Solar Inverter” based on microcontroller “Atmega-16” but didn’t publish anywhere. One prototype is assembled and is lying ideal at my home.

So that's all about me, hope you get most out of this blog site and learn lots of new things.
